Privacy Policy
How BLOCKFREEDOM LLC, doing business as Awava, handles personal information — for visitors to this site, for our clients, and for the customers who contact the businesses we work with.
01Who we are
Awava is a brand operated by BLOCKFREEDOM LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. In this policy, “Awava”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean BLOCKFREEDOM LLC doing business as Awava.
We design websites for local service businesses and operate the marketing and communication systems behind them — lead follow-up, missed-call text-back, review requests, campaigns and search optimisation. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
It applies to awava.ai, to the messages we send, and to the services we operate for our clients.

02Two roles: our data and our clients’ data
We handle personal information in two distinct capacities, and your rights differ slightly between them.
As a business ourselves
When you visit awava.ai, book a call, or become an Awava client, we are the controller of that information. We decide what is collected and why.
On behalf of our clients
When you contact one of our clients — a roofing company, a plumber, a landscaper — through a website we built or a phone number we manage, we process your information as a service provider to that business. That business decides what happens with the enquiry. We handle it under their instruction and under this policy.
If you want your information corrected or deleted from a specific business’s records, contact that business directly, or contact us and we will route the request to them.
03Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, business name, phone number, email address, service address or postal code.
- Enquiry content — what you asked for, the service you need, notes you type into a form, and the content of calls and text messages with us or with our clients.
- Appointment details — times you book, and confirmations or reminders tied to them.
- Feedback — ratings or comments you submit in response to a review request.
- Billing details — for clients, the information needed to invoice and take payment. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Cookies and tracking.
- Call and message metadata — phone numbers involved, time, duration, and whether a call was answered. Calls may be recorded where the AI Voice add-on is enabled; callers are notified at the start of the call.
What we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information, or biometric data. Please do not send them to us or to our clients through these channels.
04SMS and mobile messaging
Awava operates text messaging for its own communications and on behalf of client businesses. This section describes that programme.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
What messages you may receive
Depending on how you got in touch, messages may include: a reply to a call we missed; a response to a form you submitted; appointment confirmations and reminders; job or dispatch updates; a request for feedback or a review after work is completed; answers to questions you asked; and, where you have separately agreed to it, occasional promotional offers from the business you contacted.
How consent is obtained
We obtain your express consent before sending you messages. Consent is collected when you:
- submit a form on a website we operate, where the consent language appears next to the submit button;
- call or text a business number we manage, which constitutes consent to be replied to by text;
- provide your number to a business in person or by phone and agree to be contacted by text; or
- text a keyword to a number we operate.
We do not buy, rent or licence phone numbers, and we do not message numbers obtained from third-party lists. Consent is never a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your interaction with the business — for example, how many appointments you book or enquiries you make. Conversational replies are sent as needed; recurring messages typically number fewer than ten per month.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Awava does not charge for messages, but your mobile carrier may. Check your plan for details.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent to that number from that programme. You may also ask us by phone to remove your number.
Getting help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or call us at (508) 571-8089. You can reach BLOCKFREEDOM LLC at 5 New Templeton Rd, Hubbardston, MA 01452.
Delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier, device and coverage, and cannot be guaranteed.
Supported carriers
Messaging is supported on major US carriers. Carrier participation may change without notice.
05How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and connect you with the business you contacted;
- book, confirm and remind you about appointments;
- provide, operate, maintain and improve the services;
- send transactional messages and, with consent, marketing messages;
- request feedback about completed work;
- bill clients and keep financial records;
- measure which channels produce booked work, so our clients can see what their marketing returns;
- detect and prevent fraud, spam and abuse; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the content of your calls or messages to train third-party AI models.
06How we share information
We share personal information only as described here:
- With the business you contacted. If you enquire through a client’s website or phone number, your enquiry goes to that business — that is the point of it.
- With service providers. Companies that host our platform, deliver messages and email, process payments, and provide analytics. They may use the information only to perform those services for us.
- For legal reasons. Where required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of any person.
- In a business transfer. If BLOCKFREEDOM LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. As stated in SMS and mobile messaging, mobile information and opt-in consent are never shared for those purposes.
07Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand how pages are used. We also use analytics and advertising tags — including Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking — to measure which marketing produces enquiries.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Blocking them may stop parts of the site working. Where required, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies.
We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, as no common standard exists for them.
08How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and then for as long as required for legal, tax and dispute-resolution reasons.
- Enquiries and conversations — for the duration of the client relationship, then archived.
- Opt-out records — retained indefinitely, because we need them to make sure we never message you again.
- Call recordings and transcripts — retained for up to 24 months unless a client sets a shorter period.
- Billing records — as required by tax and accounting rules.
09Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vendors selected for their own security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
10Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- Stop text messages — reply STOP to any message.
- Stop marketing email — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Ask what we hold — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct or delete — ask us to fix inaccurate information or delete information we no longer need to keep.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example under the Massachusetts data protection regulations, or under state privacy laws such as the CCPA if you are a California resident. Those rights may include access, deletion, correction, portability, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
To make a request, call (508) 571-8089 or write to us at 5 New Templeton Rd, Hubbardston, MA 01452. We will verify your identity before acting, and respond within the time the applicable law allows.
11Children’s privacy
Our services are for businesses and their adult customers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12Third-party services and links
Our platform is built on third-party infrastructure, including GoHighLevel for CRM and messaging, and Google services for search, advertising and business profiles. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Websites we build may link to third-party sites we do not control. This policy does not cover those sites.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
